“Oysters are always a treat” , as is the “extensive” menu of locally attuned seafood faves and American grub (steaks, burgers) at this upscale-casual eatery in the Heights, which also pours “excellent” drinks; though contemporary, the interior is “warm, wonderful and cozy” – no wonder it’s a “packed brunch destination” on weekends.

The trout special with the lobster and shrimp mac and cheese was phenomenal. The dark roux gumbo was perfect. The hot smoked salmon appetizer was great. Everything we had was amazing. The service is excellent, too! Jeanette was wonderful. What a treat!

Our first impression was great. Walked in with a party of 7 and they accommodated immediately. We got our drinks fast. We asked for recommendations from our waiter and he did not disappoint! The swordfish was cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts with bacon jam was so good my kids even tried a bite. And then to finish the evening, the waiter recommended the fried banana nut bread with ice cream and whip cream. Our entire table ate some and to say we enjoyed it would be an understatement. I'm super impressed with the food, atmosphere, and especially our waiter! Will definitely be back again.

Good cocktails, baked and fresh oysters were very good. The fish tacos were good, but the gumbo lacked flavor, almost as if they forgot salt. The mac and cheese redeemed the meal. Good happy hour choices.
