“Funky all around” , this “reasonably priced” Southie haunt serves up the “traditional” American comfort food “you love” but with an “interesting” “gourmet twist” (like breakfast pizzas that are near “the top of the food chain” ); the “big” , “hip” two-room tav can be “noisy” , but only because it’s a “fun” , “social” spot that “buzzes” with a “solid” crowd of “young professionals” , especially on game days.

It's fine. My service was awful and the place wasn't busy so I'm not sure the issue but I'm not holding that against them, I'm sure there was a reason. Overall, my meal was fine and it's a fun atmosphere. I think it's best to come for the evening and be in the bar area rather than just come in for dinner. The high tops were well laid out, easy to spark conversation with people, open area, casual, trendy and young.

Never been to or heard of this place before my first visit and I was thoroughly impressed. I came here for brunch and the menu had a little bit of lunch and breakfast. Many people raved about the fruity pebbles pancakes but I unfortunately did not try them. I ate their eggs bennie and it was one of the best i ever had. IT had spinach and asparagus on it but the sauce is what really made it. The drinks were reasonably prices and they served delicious Irish coffee and hot toddies on one of the coldest days of winter which warmed me right up. It seems to be a popular place so there was a wait for us for about 45 minutes. However the bar is open seating and we were able to grab seats within 15 minutes. I would definitely come back to this place again.

This is a happening place. It was filled to capacity with a boisterous lot. The short rib with truffle mac n' cheese was great. The pork chop was beyond dry. My main complaint with this place is they can't decide if they are a tavern or a restaurant. A reasonably sophisticated menu is belied by a raucous crowd. We had sports fans leaning over the table and shouting past us. A few feet away, a live band and dance floor. It was fun, but not the upbeat dining experience we expected. I'll be back to catch a game, but not for dinner.
