Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar
Hip spot for Baja-style Mexican fare
Mexican · South Boston · $$
The team behind Lincoln Tavern delivers pub-drenched Southie another eatery skewed toward young professionals, set in an intentionally worn-in space filled with rough-hewn woods and repurposed antique accents. The focus is on Baja-influenced, light, bright Mexican fare, including inventive tacos, shareable seafood plates (like oysters served grilled on coals or chilled with flavored ice) and creative cocktails that make use of the bar's bountiful tequila and mezcal list.

Truth be told, I think Loco is a little overpriced. However, the margaritas are delicious and very strong... be careful, they can sneak up on you! And the atmosphere is always lively and a lot of fun. It gets extremely crowded and noisy, but that is part of its appeal. If you can nab a seat at the bar or at a table, you'll have a great time.

Delicious food! Absolutely delicious! This is a "must visit" if you're in Boston. Perfect drinks, perfect food, and good service considering this place gets packed. Great energy and vibes, can't recommend this place enough!

So they have incredible food. But just be careful about being tricked into buying chips and guac. We sat down and hadn't looked at the menu and she asked " would you like chips while you wait, some guac?" And I just said yes not really thinking aaaand 10$ later we somehow got an appetizer. I saw the same thing happen to a table near us. Be careful :) otherwise, awesome food.
