LOW Country Kitchen
Cozy spot for down-home Southern fare
Southern American · LoHi · $$
From “out-of-this-world fried chicken” to “phenomenal jambalaya” , fans say some of the “best Southern home cooking this side of the Mississippi” can be found at these charmers in LoHi and Steamboat Springs; both boast a “cozy, down-home feel” that's boosted even further by “pleasant” service, “affordable” tabs and a bourbon-splashed bar, though only the Denver branch offers porch and rooftop seating.

Great little country cooking restaurant. It reminded me of my college days, when I lived in Arkansas! I had the vegetarian grits, and they were awesome! So delicious. The downfall is that there are limited Gluten Free options, but that goes to say that it is a southern cooking type place, so I am not too upset. Food is delicious, and a great place to just be.

Delicious! The best fried chicken I have ever tasted in my life! I also love the weekend brunch and mimosas. I often pick up chicken to go on my way home from work because my kids - the pickiest eaters I know- love it too. The staff is nice, always had great service and the food is always consistently good! Thanks!

On the front of the menu it says best fried chicken West of the Mississippi. I am from the South it was the most tasteless fried chicken I've ever had. They charge $3 extra just to get all dark meat instead of one piece of white meat. Really? It cost extra to fry 3 different pieces? The fried green tomatoes were over cooked. The side portions were very overpriced. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone.
