Lula Cafe
Farm-to-table fare in a funky space
New American · Logan Square · $$
The Zagat Review
"Serving farm-to-table cuisine before it became popular" , this Logan Square "mainstay" is a "gold mine" for "exquisite" , "creative" New American fare (including an "amazing" vegetarian tasting menu) and "wonderful" cocktails; a "well-informed" staff works the "stylish" yet "laid-back" room where you "never feel rushed" – even when there are "huge lines" for the "fantastic" , no-reservations weekend brunch.

So good. It's nice to see a restaurant with a thoughtful and well balanced approach to a vegetarian tasting. The vegetarian tasting was so good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The food was all good.. just unique and delicious across the board. Our server (who was also the bartender because we sat in the bar) was so knowledgeable about the food and happy to answer questions. The benefit of sitting at the bar was that he gave great suggestions on pairings with the food as well. We had a great time.... One of the best meals I've had in ages enhanced by great service and a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I look forward to the opportunity to eat here again and. Would highly recommend it to anyone! :-)

Loved this for brunch the portions were generous and the food was delicious. It's got a great Lively atmosphere with a bar and seating on one side and just seating in the other side. we had to breakfast pastries and shared a main and it was certainly enough food for us. Will definitely be visiting this Cafe again the next time I'm in Chicago. We didn't have to wait when we went but we did go during the week and off peak hours and it was still crowded inside. I do think it would be worth the wait to eat here even on the weekends.

Parking can be tricky. I recommend Pay-to-park. Either grab a sit at the bar or a table, it's all equally rad. Don't neglect their food specials, never had a bad dish. Environment is cute and well lit. I wouldn't recommend coming here during peak hours. Such as brunch, or happy hour times. I've waited for an hour for a table before. I still keep coming back.
