It’s “all about sharing” at David Chang’s “innovative” New American in Midtown’s Chambers Hotel, where “flavor-packed” plates for the table join “clever” “twists on dim sum” (just “flag down a trolley” ); “blah” decor may detract, but “the food more than makes up for it.”

Really good fun, to be honest I was expecting more in terms of the dining experience and standard of food. Don’t get me wrong the food was great but the expectations here are too high. I think if I came here not knowing anything I might have been much happier. I shouldn’t read reviews. Still I would come back again and it’ll probably be better next time. Great service and 10/10 art.

Let me start of by saying I was with a large group. We had a great time, though I had expected more. They will not seat you till your whole group is there. They will call you to let you know they will charge you if you cancel less then 24 hours before ($25 per person). There were not many food choices, so being a large group we were able to share a lot of the the items off the menu. Everything was delicious. FYI the fried chicken is spicy and watch out for that. Pork belly buns is a must try.

Yum yum. Was able to convince my somewhat less than food adventurous father to come here after a show. I'm a sucker for Asian food, and he was satisfied by their "New American with Asian-influence" angle. Delicious. We both thoroughly enjoyed the kimchi-bacon burger. Granted, the decor is a bit like eating in an oversized tent
