“Tasty and hasty” sums up these cross-Village Middle Eastern “favorites” , whose “awesome” falafel and shawarma “can't be beat” for “cheap, filling eats” served into the “wee hours” ; “bare-bones” digs with a serious “space crunch” don't keep them from “bustling.”

I used to walk up here for lunch from Tribeca in the 1980s and 1990s. It’s good to see they haven’t changed much. Good eats at low prices and open late. I wish they were near me on Long Island now.

Tasty falafel! Crunchy outside and flavorful inside, taste it today and highly recommend it for casual snacks. Very limited seat inside, but fast service. Oh cash only for this place...

I used to come here when the falafel sandwiches were $2.25, which wasn't too long ago, surprisingly. It was the best option to get my hunger fixed at 2 a.m. whenever I was pulling up an all-nighter at the NYU library. By that time, their lentil soup gets so thick, I loved it!! Always a long line but I never had to wait more than 5 min to order, and 5 min to get my food in my hands. There are only a few tables (and therefore almost impossible to be seated) but most people take out to the Washington Park anyway. Their spicy sauce means actually really super spicy. I would get it separately and try out first before you confidently say yes to spicy sauce and have them pour the red goodness all over your sandwich.
