Service

“Excellence abounds” at Michael White’s Italian “star” on Central Park South, where the “adventurous” seafood and “heavenly” housemade pastas “never fail to wow” ; the “impeccable” service matches the “sleek” , “convivial” setting – as well as the “power broker” prices (lunchtime set menus are a comparative “steal” ).

Marea is one of those restaurants, like Eleven Madison Park, that you walk into knowing it’s going to be incredible. The food, especially the pasta, is exquisite. Service is top notch as well - the staff know the menu inside and out, and they take excellent care of you. It's also a great place for group dinners since the noise level is suited for good conversation. Spectacular experience!

Best food I've ever had in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The service was excellent and unpretentious. The food was out of this world. Octopus and the lamb were fantastic. They are BYOB albeit the corkage fee is high. They also offer great ambiance and location.

Best plate was the scallops- cooked perfectly and fresh. Halibut was so simple with a pure taste of the fish with tasty greens. Lobster with buratta and eggplant-a mix of flavors that had the perfect balance. Chocolate desert was amazing! Overall the food met up to all expectations. This restaurant is pricey but worth the quality. You must make reservations before. Atmosphere is high end and private.
