A “solid farm-to-table” approach makes for “engaging dishes” at this West Village New American, a corner outfit with “big picture windows” , “warm” service and an “unpretentious” vibe; it “continues to amaze” a wide following, meaning it's on the “crowded” side at prime times.

I wish I had taken a better picture to really showcase how excellent my meal was. This place does not disappoint! The staff is friendly but we did have to ask specifically for several things we had originally ordered but never received. They still get 5 stars because the food is great!

The welcome, on a cold but beautiful day, was warm. The decor was pleasing and the restaurant was effused with warmth, happy chatter and an enticing aroma of freshly cooked food. Service was polite, efficient and there was no hurry to move us on despite a lineup at the door. The food was delicious and fresh and the potions were perfect. The four of us (three critical foodies and myself) enjoyed poached eggs on spinach, a broccoli and cheese quiche, a crispy chicken burger with perfect fries, and pancakes. Coffee was perfect and there were plenty of top-ups. Highly recommended, really comfortable and unpretentious.
