Ever so "loud" "when the Eagles are on TV" , this old-school Mt. Airy hang is a "true neighborhood pub" that's flexible enough to work for "getting together with colleagues" , "a date" or "just relaxing in the early afternoon" over a pint and a "casual meal" ; it's "not the place to go to if you're into decor" , but it is worth patronizing if you appreciate "polite" service and a "friendly" crowd.

Just attended McMenamin's for dinner before seeing a show. (If your seeing a show at the Sedgwick Theatre, it's almost right across the street.) The place is very casual and comfortable. A few tables and a bar as you walk in, with more seating in the back half. Menu generally American food, burgers, fish n chips, sandwiches, etc, but some entrees available, including steak. My wife and I ordered the gator bites, which with the accompanying sauce, was good. We both had a burger, the focal point on the menu, but numerous toppings are available. Each under $10 (with lettuce, cheese, bacon, and chips) each were juicy and good. Service was good, prices all reasonably, bathrooms all clean!

This bar is excellent. Their food is delicious, especially the beef stew. The bartenders are really nice and learn your face quickly. This is my go to place for food.

Yummy tavern fare (and generous servings), esp. the burgers, wings and fries. Specials are a bit pricey--stick to the regular menu. Awesome selection of beers on tap. I always leave too full to try the desserts, so can't attest to their quality.
