The Zagat Review
Upper Eastsiders craving “noodle slurping goodness” hail this Japanese joint’s “flavorful” ramen and izakaya-style small plates (a next-door annex offers desserts and cocktails); the seating’s mostly “communal” , but no one cares given the “reasonable” tabs and “hits-the-spot” cooking.

Good ramen. VERY generous portions. Lively atmosphere even though it's a tiny place. Had fantastic sake too. There are vegetarian options available . And the appetizers are really good. Can't say enough about this place. There is one annoyance though - the place is usually packed by 6:30 so you have to get there early to get a table.

Very nice restaurant and got potential to be the great. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars, is because the beef in my noodle are taste like paper, which shouldn’t be happened for Japanese restaurant. Otherwise, I feel lucky to have such a nice Ramen shop at upper west. Please have more beer selections( especially Japanese brands). Definitely check the restroom, it will makes you wonder what’s on the other side.😏 Wait time will be expected during lunch/dinner time.

So-So So-So Ramen. I had the delight of going here on a Saturday night in which was packed. The wait is variable but could be fairly long 20-30 min+. I would recommend not coming here on a Saturday night. It boasted a Michelin recommended sign so I had to try it. I had the Top seller Meijin Ramen and the Fried Chicken Curry which were both pretty normal... I mean for the location in Manhattan and price...I expected more. While I was eating the ramen, I realized that they don't normally include an egg or seaweed. I was pretty disappointed. The curry was also standard, nothing surprising. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a bad meal but in the Manhattan for those prices, to boast Michelin...I just was hoping for more.
