Those who “hail the meat god” rely on this “no-fuss” counter-serve chain for “delicious” BBQ “fixes” (including “perfectly toothsome brisket” ) offered “cafeteria-style” ; “barebones” setups and “insane” lines are part of the package, but so are “reasonable” prices.

If I remember right, I had either the honey crispy chicken or bbq crispy chicken sandwich. Either way it was amazing! I even ate the pickle which I'm normally not a fan of. I ordered the mashed sweet potato with it which was great too but i was too stuffed to finish. The seating is mostly communal seating, meaning u would be sitting with like 6 other strangers eating. Me and my buddies found a smaller table just for us. The line at the time almost went out the back door but the wait was totally worth it. When I was there, the cooks were even offering cuts of meat to taste. It is definitely a good place to come eat by yourself or with your friends or on a date.

Have had several great nights here. You order what you like at the counter and then grab a table -- often packed on weekend nights. They have pulled pork, chicken, other staple bbq meats, and delicious burnt ends. Plus beers and a bunch of good, comfort food style sides. A fun place if you are looking for bbq in the East Village

Not bad, but not the best at the same time. I enjoyed the Dirty Fries very much, but not so much the brisket. I had high expectations. Might coming again just to try the Brontosaurus, and then have final thoughts. Overall I enjoyed the food.
