The Zagat Review
A young team takes on traditional Gallic fare at this tiny Greenwich Village French delivering modern interpretations of high-end classics. There’s both bar and banquette seating, with mod pendant lights and marble surfaces accenting the charming space.

The food, service, and ambiance at MIMI is nothing short of exceptional. Without descending into hyperbole and superlative, I do not think I have ever had a more enjoyable and delicious dining experience. I could wax poetic for hours about individual bites, plates, and the meal as a whole. In the interest of not writing a novel, however, I have picked a single aspect to highlight. The espresso martini. It might seem odd that a drink was the highlight for me; have faith. Words cannot do this drink any justice, so just go, order it, and revel in the mind melting experience that is this cocktail, and a wonderful evening at MIMI. 10/5 stars.

It’s the perfect spot for a cozy weekday dinner. They have so many candles! Weekend is always packed and you can’t even hear yourself talking. Decent food. A little salty. The uni could have been less wasabi so you can actually taste the uni instead of numbing your tounge. The tartare was delicious; a little herb as a surprise element would have been even better. The truffle white asparagus was alright, a bit salty for my taste. The chicken was good with a bit of mint in the sauce, which is a nice touch; the crispy skin was on point. In general it was good but a little overpriced. The service was good; our server was attentive.

Service was great. Ambiance nice. But my Côte du Porc was the fattiest cut of meat I have ever been served in a restaurant. That includes Outback Steakhouse.
