The Zagat Review
This second-floor Korean BBQ specialist is a “K-town favorite” for “authentic” classics in a “spacious” , Zen-like setting; it feels “a cut above” others “without being more expensive” – no wonder it's “always packed.”

I love the food here. The staff was super friendly. Everything was just made perfectly and fresh. Only thing I could not try was the kimchi soup which was due to a seafood allergy that I have. Forgot to mention it to the waitress otherwise they would have made it special for me. That was my fault. My wife said it was amazing and I believe her. It was a special experience for us so can't wait go back there. I dream about the meat sometimes. It was just that amazing.

So, I went here with a group and it took a while to get seated. That's not altogether terrible for a Saturday night and once we were seated, we did get food and drinks at a pretty reasonable pace. But, everything was over priced. And the food was mediocre at best. Like, I've cooked better than most of what I ate. The meat lacked flavor and the shrimp literally they didn't even put salt on it. Pretty disappointing considering they charged something like $70-80 per person.

For me personally, I am not hip on the obvious scene going on in K-town. The trends and where it's cool to go one week and where it's not cool to go the next. All I know is until the late 90s I'd never heard of Korean BBQ and felt forever blessed when I was taken to Korean BBQ by a group of Japanese friends. Ever since it's been a favorite. But this place seems extraordinarily bland given all the options in this neighborhood. One of the great things about alot of the places there is the fact that you can get a variety of things not just Korean but lots of Japanese as well and some Chinese too. This place was strictly Korean 100pct. For me aside from the BBQ I'm not too crazy about the other dishes. At the end of the day all I liked here was the BBQ. The dumplings and other dishes just weren't for me. If you're expecting other Asian options like a lot of places down there then this is not the place for you.
