"Down-home cooking at its best" cheer fans of this "always crowded" daytime mini-chain where the "extensive" menu of "dangerously delish" American fare features many a "Chesapeake" or "Southern" "twist" ; yes, there's often "a wait" (no reservations) in "funky" , colorful digs, but tabs are fair, and staffers are "super" , so most leave "stuffed and happy."

Had a lovely brunch here! The place is bigger than expected and the service is wonderful! We arrived before noon, so there wasn’t a long wait. The coconut cream stuffed French toast was delicious! Coco nutty and sweet. I ordered the Crab Happy Sammy which had a delicious crab cake on top! The make your own omelets were delicious because they have very nice and fresh ingredients. We had a great time!

I love coming here. Good food and service. Like that they have a parking lot. Shirley's affair with Oscar is to die for. Seriously. It's all I could talk about for days!! Unfortunately I chose the bayou omelet yesterday and it left something to be desired. Oh well I will definitely be back.

Met a friend here for lunch. The prices can be a little high, but the quality of food is excellent. Parking can be tricky at times, but I am lucky that I can walk since I live so close by. The homemade lemonade is a treat. Give it a try, especially if you like breakfast towards midday.
