MKT Restaurant and Bar
Steaks & drinks in sophisticated setting
New American · SoMa · $$$
Hidden away on the fifth floor of the Four Seasons with panoramic views of Market Street and SoMa, this bar-centric Californian (replacing Seasons) is a "surprisingly casual" perch for an "enjoyable repast" of "excellent" steaks and farm-to-table small plates, paired with local wines and craft cocktails; whether you dine at low-slung tables in the lobby lounge or in the main dining room, the service is "outstanding."

Cozy and romantic restaurant. Have nice half Circle booth. I think it should upgraded to tablecloth it has more of a bar filled but overall nice setting with a beautiful wood feel. Menu is primarily Seafood so make sure you like seafood

It was a bad night for the bar on Christmas. The octopus was gritty (not cleaned well enough around the pods) and cold, the burger was overcooked (medium != dry and brown in the middle), and the lobster roll was of tuna salad consistency (last I checked, it's supposed to be chunks of lobster, not paste of lobster). I guess when they figure you will likely starve, it's OK to charge ~$30/plate for this trash. I'm adding stars because the bartenders themselves are great, and the restaurant has been good in the past. But we'll probably never again eat at the bar.

Had a late breakfast, early brunch here on Saturday. Was the perfect remedy to a late night with too much booze. I ate the corned beef hash and my friends had the eggs benedict (my usual go-to) and pancakes. Everyone enjoyed the food. I had whole-wheat toast which was excellent! Strong coffee was on the table and we ordered lattes too which were good.
