“Sublimely fresh” sushi and “inventive” cooked dishes keep these “sophisticated” Japanese eateries “packed” with “neighborhood” types; “prompt, friendly” servers man the “modern” surrounds, further justifying prices deemed slightly “more expensive” than some competitors.

Since I moved to Chelsea, Momoya has been on a major wait--they don't take reservations, and they stop takeout at 7pm, so it took some effort to get in, but I loved my meal there! The sushi was rich and melted in my mouth. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was on point. The prices are extremely fair and competitive for NYC. Momoya is on the trendier side with lounge-type of music and modern decor, but it's fine to dress casually. 10/10 would go back!

Great food, great combo meals, great spot, reasonable price, decent service, great atmosphere. It's a win! This is a casual chill spot with good atmosphere. It's a place I don't mind coming to often. I like the taste of the food here and with the combo I get a little of everything: greens, sushi, protein, and dessert. I will definitely be back here.

One of my colleagues recommended here as the best sushi place around. Indeed their Omakase sushi was excellent. Greatly casual atmosphere.
