Morning Glory Diner
Classic no-frills diner

The Zagat Review
Still in all its "glory" after nearly two decades, this snug, "kitschily decorated" corner diner in Bella Vista stays "packed on weekends" with fans seeking "wholesome" "flavors" ( "fluffy" biscuits, "housemade" ketchup, monkey French toast) trucked to the table by "friendly" staffers; "go early" or "sign your name on the clipboard" and "wait" outside – but "don't you dare give up" 'cause "brunch is for winners."

What a great place! Went for breakfast and it was just what I was hoping it would be. All the traditional morning comfort food. The biscuits were enormous! Wanted to finish it, but couldn't. Home made ketchup to go on home fries. Friendly staff and a hilarious specials menu. We were there during the week so they seated us right away, but apparently there's usually a wait on the weekends and I can totally see why.

Can’t give less or I would. Not my kind of place. I don’t care for a restaurant that is not exactly clean! Waitstaff acts like you are bothering them. Strange assortment of people working there. Very weird waiting to come in through the yard door. And the food was so unmemorable that I couldn’t even tell you what we ordered! Although I do remembering paying the $40 for 2 people for breakfast. Much prefer Penrose Diner with good food, good service and cleanliness.

Food was fine, nothing special. The wait was forever on a Saturday morning. Pricey. Service was split, some servers were great, some not so much. It almost feels like they were short a few hands one day so they went to a frat at Drexel and picked the first two guys they saw. Good coffee and hot chocolate, bone-dry biscuit, and the sausage had a bleach-like aftertaste? The grits were bland as they come, but a little bit of butter and some salt and they were fine.
