"Pure joy" rave fans about the "wonderful" Contemporary Louisiana fare at this French Quarter "masterpiece" by the Brennan family, which stars "famous" BBQ shrimp that's "worth" getting "sauce up to your elbows" (bibs are provided) and gumbo ya ya that's truly "ya, ya, ya!" ; add in an "extensive" wine list, "class-act" waiters and a "sophisticated" yet "lively" vibe, and no wonder many consider it a "go-to for family entertaining" as well as a "gold standard" for business dining.

Just been here once, but it was a memorable lunch. Had both the coconut and barbecue shrimp and each was delicious. The gumbo is deep and rich and made well. What really made an impression on me outside of the great food, was the service. When I couldn’t decide between bread pudding or the hot buttered pecan pie (noting that I adore bread pudding and like to get it everywhere I go in New Orleans), my waitress steered me toward the pie, but then brought out a complimentary sample sized ramekin of the bread pudding so that I could give it a try. Needless to say, I was quite happy and will make Mr. B’s a permanent addition to my list of favorites restaurants in the Quarter.

The food was unbelievable. So we'll seasoned, modern but kept with New Orleans cuisine. It was one of the best meals I have had in town and up there with my top 10 perhaps ever. Shrimp and grits, fried oysters, Brea's pudding, french 75 drink! All delicious. And the service was perfect. A bit rushed but it is a bustling Bistro, so expected.

I love Mr Bs. It is always a must do for us every time we come to town!! They really made my day Friday. I was sad to see my favorite dish off the menu and we had planned to go. I wrote them to express how much I love the lamb chops. And hoped they get back on the menu. Ms Julie and Chef Michelle really went out of their way and I got my lamb chops!! Which were outstanding as usual!!! Thank you for making this girl and her hubby feel so welcome ! Thank you very much!
