The Zagat Review
TV chef Martin Yan’s namesake in the Westfield San Francisco Centre is a "sophisticated" "oasis" where Downtown diners "meet and eat" with chefs on view preparing "excellent" hand-pulled noodles, "delicious dim sum" and other "elevated" regional Chinese fare; "artisanal cocktails" from a bar sporting an 1,800-pound temple bell complete the "classy" package.

I think that me and my family just found our favorite Chinese restaurant! Very friendly greeter and server made the experience pleasant. You can see into the kitchen and watch the cooks working(always a good sign) The food was really tasty. I have not come across a Chinese restaurant that has a taste that you can savor. The food is noticeably fresh and high quality unlike many restaurants (Chinese or otherwise). I always enjoyed watching Martin Yan on TV and think that he has a passion for Chinese food and cooking and you can tell that this pride and friendly demeanor translates into his restaurant. Good Job Martin! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here from a high recommendation to show my family the art of pulling noodles. The chef was done pulling for the day, but fulfilled my request and made my daughter and very happy girl. It was nothing short of an incredible show. We sat at the noodle bar and watched them create many beautiful dishes. Our food was nothing short of spectacular. My 10 year old trying wild boar, pork belly and many incredible dishes. I ordered a number of small dishes to try and not one disappointed. And the Service? INCREDIBLE! A must visit destination.

I wouldn't go back. First , service was super slow and did-engaged. We sat and waited a lot and had to ask for help. Took 20 minutes after we were seated to get our water and first drink. And that was after asking for it twice. Food is hit or miss. But sweet and sour pork was super chewy. My beef noodle soup, the beef was excellent, but the broth was meh' Seating can be really really tight. We pretty much had dinner with the people next to us. For the price , and location, I would definitely recommend going somewhere else.
