“Dressed-up dim sum” “like mother never made” and other “bursting-with-flavor” “takes on tradition” have fans “dreaming about” this Asian-fusion small-plates specialist in the South End helmed by culinary couple Joanne Chang and Christopher Myers; “killer cocktails” , a “hip” staff and a “quirky” , “indie” setting contribute to the “youthful” vibe, but it’s “hard to get a table” , so “reservations are a must (and rightly so).”

A friend and I met here for a lovely dinner after work. My expectations were high, considering how much I love Joanne Chang's Flour bakery, and I was thoroughly impressed! We started off with the pork dumplings and Dan Dan noodles. Both were great, but especially the noodles - very fresh. We then split a larger dish: fried chicken and ginger waffles, which was so good! Unexpectedly good combination of flavors. Finished off with the orange cake with almond brittle. Overall it was delightful and the cost came out to a lot less than I had expected!

The food is perfectly done. Service is very friendly. Cocktail list is small, but sufficient (complete with scorpion bowl). I enjoyed this meal a lot!

Overall a fun dining experience. I always share my food, and this was a meant to be shared dinner. I just don’t like it when it comes all at once overwhelming the table and getting cold before I can eat it. Finish with the house made fortune cookies- gingery greatness!
