"No more roaming around" needed say fans of these "memorable" pizzerias spun off of a Jersey-based mobile wood-fired operation, producing "fantastic pizzas" with "perfect" thin crusts and "sublime" sauce (Bella Vista is Neapolitan and Center City is Roman); add apps and salads, a well-selected wine-and-beer selection and "service with a real smile" and you're in "heaven."

Fantastic wood-fired pizza in a cool setting. Great appetizers go along with a good wine list and draft beers. Downstairs is a small seating area with a bar and pizza oven. Upstairs has a larger seating area along with a bar. They show movies on a large screen. Staff and service is very good.

I'm something of a pizza expert, having tried A LOT of it over the years at hundreds of different places. I make an effort to taste pizza wherever I go. It's hard to rank pizza because of the many different styles and toppings that effect the flavor individually. That being said, Nomad Pizza is definitely in the top 5 overall pizzas that I've ever eaten! It's also the #1 pick for Wood Fired pizzas in my opinion. Crust is medium weight and airy with just a tiny bit of chewiness. The wood oven chars the crust here and there, but nothing is burnt or hard about it - a major accomplishment. Sauce is used sparingly, and would be the one area of improvement for it, although the flavor of this pizza rests in the strengths of the crust and toppings, not necessarily just the sauce. Sauce is a well blended -more liquidlike than stiff mixture, with adequate spices. The toppings greatly contribute to the excellent flavor. Fresh mozzarella "curds" are expertly melted to the point of almost joining together. Pepperoni has an excellent and unique taste - sourced from a local vendor, and doesn't add grease like most pepperoni laden pizzas have. All toppings are crisp and the wood fire simply adds to their flavor. Overall, the wood fire completely adds to this delicious experience! It's safe to say that Nomad is a perfect dinner choice when visiting Philly!

Very good, Napoli style pizza. We had a classic margherita pizza, and a couple beers, sat in the sunshine, and enjoyed the great area. Would definitely recommend. Great staff.
