North Beach Restaurant
Upscale staple for Tuscan cuisine

The Zagat Review
"Superb" , "authentic" Tuscan fare (including "homemade prosciutto" ) and "real service from old-style waiters" are the draws that confirm this "classy" North Beach fixture "hasn't diminished over the years" ; despite "high prices" , most say it's "pure bliss" – especially when meals include the "excellent" house wine from the "owner's vineyard."

Absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant. Our server was awesome! Had so many recommendations you could really tell he takes pride in his position. Everything we ate was spectacular. The vodka sauce was to DIE FOR. Every time a plate was empty it was taken from the table. Even came around to get the crumbs off of the table. Some of the selections it's very difficult to know what they are, but our server knew and had tasted everything we had a question about. The cheeses.... omg the cheeses. Best mozzarella I've ever had in my life. Also, didn't realize I would LOVE the taste of prosciutto with oil and melon but holy heck it's amazing. Don't even get me started on the dessert. Everything here was amazing. Our server was Alexander and he was amazing. I think a lot of the one start reviews come from people feeling rushed simply because the service is SO on point. Disregard those reviews this place is the BOMB!

There were seven of us and we were seated on time. Service was impeccable by our server, Mel. Everyone raved about their selections. Lovely atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. The staff was friendly and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. Will go again when we're in S.F.

One of the original old school Italian-style restaurants in the city. Waitstaff wear suits, white linen tablecloths, nice ambiance, and good service. Our lunch was excellent and, for all that, relatively reasonably priced.
