Battery Park City is home to this “smart, upscale” American via Danny Meyer, where the “outstanding” seafood-focused menu arrives via an “on-point” staff that’s “really on its game” ; the “civilized” , “modern” space features a “lively” bar popular with “suits” , and a no-tipping policy.

The ambience and music was really nice. However, the overall experience was underwhelming. The food could have been better (especially for that price). We enjoyed the oysters, the mussels and the chocolate cake desert. Unfortunately, the lamb fritters were bland and we had to return the bronzino because it was bloody. Also the espresso coffee was burnt. The service was decent, but could have been better based on the image the restaurant is trying to portray. If there is a case to be made for a gastronomic Dunning-Kruger effect, North End Grill would be a frontrunner.

A go to restaurant for my wife and me. Great decor. Good service. Great food for brunch and dinner. I'm glad this is in our neighborhood because it's one of NYCs best restaurants in my opinion. And importantly it's not too stuffy.

Not what it used to be. The Bistecca was amazing and perfectly cooked. The swordfish was delicious, and the oysters very nice and fresh. But, the eggplant parmesan was just fine, and the pork spare ribs were a bit on the dry side, missing some much needed sauce. Skip the fried zucchini and blossoms, which were like a tempura that got caught in the steam. The fava beans were very nice but would have benefited from being served warm, and the potatoes were missing the flavor and herbs from previous visits and were served too hot. The staff was very hospitable and friendly, which helped to make up for the misses on the dishes. Overall, we were satisfied, but we were left missing the North End Grill of previous years.
