"Amazing chef" Melissa Perello’s "distinctive" follow-up to Frances in Pacific Heights supplies "sublime" New American–Californian cuisine highlighting "wonderfully realized" use of local and seasonal ingredients; with "skillful" service from an "informative" staff in a "beautiful, rustic" space, it’s unsurprisingly a "challenging reservation to secure."

a la cartel seasonal menu. We got the deviled egg which is soft boiled with spices on top. It's quite spicy. We also got the squid ink cold pasta which was slightly citrusy taste. We got the pasta as the appetizer which can was good except for the olives inside. For entree we got the petite steak which was delicious. We also got the grilled pork but that was not great, it just tasted like ham. Dessert we got the pudding. Overall we spend around $170 for two people

Really great meal. Deviled egg was outstanding. The service was impeccable. The chocolate souffle was amazing. We had some great bubbles and wine. Very good meal, highly recommended.

We came to Octavia with little knowledge of the restaurant, other then all of our friends telling us how good it is. We got the tasting menu and had an incredible meal. The staff was very attentive and the food was both unique and delicious.
