With its "heartwarming" Italian standards, "professional service" and "upscale" Tuscan-inspired decor, this FiDi trattoria is a "go-to" for "business lunches" or a "special meal" Downtown; "truffle dinners in the fall" and "awesome happy-hour specials" seal the deal.

The owner, Martino, welcomes you at your house table. He explained the history of the restaurant. All of he food is from scratch & made on site. Service was exceptional. It is a place you should try.

Great Italian food! Ordered the meat pizza and it did not disappoint. The ratio of meat to bread was frankly astonishing. The crust was crunchy but not burnt. However, I was a little let down by the floppiness and greasiness of the entire ensemble. It was droopy and drippy and the toppings slid off once. Value after reheating: fair. Not great, but not awful either. Threw a few slices in the microwave the next day and had an almost identical experience.

My husband and I were visiting San Francisco from out of town and we both were craving some Italian food! We came across Palio! I am so happy we did! The food was outstanding and the staff was knowledgeable, courteous, welcoming and also had a great sense of humor! I'll definitely be returning if I'm ever in the Bay area again! The grilled octopus is a must!!! Martino the manager is simply exquisite! He's kind, professional, and very attentive! Overall a sensational place!
