Chef Albert Paris (Heirloom) pays homage to the City of Light – and his last name – with this polished French bistro in the Chestnut Hill Hotel offering up "well-executed" classics matched with a "value" -packed wine list; it's a "hip" , "noisy" scene beneath a tin ceiling, while a downstairs jazz club offers a "fun" extension of the evening Thursday–Sunday.

If you are up for fancy french food - this is your place. We went for the Jazz cafe as some really good bands play here on weekends. Since the jazz cafe has quite limited seating area - reserve ahead of time. Cocktails are really nice and you can get a wide variety of wine by the bottle. Unfortunately there is extremely limited Vegetarian and Vegan option hence we couldn't order any food for the two times we went. We really hope they will add some vegetarian and vegan dishes to cater to more people. If you are going for music please be cooperative to the band and other customers by not engaging in conversations, since the place is small it acts as a major distraction. If you want enjoy the good with friends/family choose the upper seating area.

We sat downstairs in the Jazz Cafe area and the atmosphere was great. Food was excellent, and the Jazz entertainment was well worth the $14 we paid to be seated there. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star was because I did not like the red wine. Of the various types we tried, the House red was the best. Will definitely go there again!

If I wanted French attitude, then I would have gone to Paris. Walked in the door as was greeted with attitude. We had a 7 p res and hand problems parking. Called at 710 and told them that we were circling the block. Gave our Res away at 715. Arrogant Host with French accent was dismissive. We walked out and went or The Hotel and had a greater meal at a fraction of the price.
