Set in an “airy” Flatiron space, this “smooth” New American “keeps things fresh” with an “inspiring menu” and “transporting” , AvroKO-conceived decor that both change quarterly to reflect the four seasons; it’s “not cheap” , but compensations include a “first-rate” staff and a “thoughtful wine list.”

Overall we had a very good dinner. The food was exceptional. The drinks also, exceptional. We did the wine dinner and I have to say everything brought to the table was amazing. Each wine added to the experience and paired nicely with the food from that course. The dishes pushed the envelope but not in such a way as to be exotic, just a nice addition to something that felt comfortably familiar. The reason for the low review was the service and the check. The service was terrible. We had to ask for everything to be brought to the table. The wine was never refilled without asking at least twice, despite it being a wine dinner. There were two instances of the wrong food being brought and another of a dish being forgotten. Normally totally fine, but not for a fine dining experience. Finally the check. Very simple. They overcharged us $80 for being gluten-free. Our friends were charged the standard $65 for the wine dinner, we were charged for every item and drink individually, despite the items on the gluten-free menu being exactly the same as the regular menu. Thus our $65 wine dinner became a $105 wine dinner. Again, perfectly acceptable for a fine dining experience but you have to tell people. By the time we noticed the error, we had been hustled out the door (last table of the night, and again, unfriendly service) and couldn't really argue the point. If they really needed the extra money they should just say so, and not resort to such tactics. A shame that such good food is located in, apparently, a poorly run (unhappy staff reflects most of the problems we had) establishment.

Stunning food and decoration. The restaurant changes the interior and menu according to the season you are in. I was lucky to be there in spring and enjoy flowers hanging from the ceiling and a fresh spring-like menu. Curious to go back and check out the other seasons. Staff was friendly and the noise levels where not too loud for New York.

Me and my wife had reservations to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. This place is great.Nice ambiance, lite music, dim lights, and a nice intimate feel. Staff are very friendly and warm and our meals were excellent. Highly recommend to anyone who's in the area or for a date night.
