It “doesn't get more old-school” than this 1944-vintage Midtown “throwback” , a “favorite of Sinatra's” that still offers “delicious” Neapolitan cooking and “quality service” ; maybe it could stand a “refresh” , but the “heaping” portions and Theater District proximity are fine as is.

Not to be missed! I ask the concierge at my hotel for a great Italian place to eat and they suggested Patsy's. I am so glad that we went there! The food was beyond amazing, and it was so great to have Patsy's own grandson come out to chat with us afterward. Beautiful ambience, great food, do not miss this one!

Great, cozy Italian restaurant. I got seated right away, as the host was quick. The server came over right away, and gave me a very welcome greeting. The calamari (Which I don’t recommend getting.) Was my appetizer. The sauce was good, but the calamari was bland and dry. About 10 minutes later my entree came, the eggplant parmigiana. It was not presented very well, but who cares! The sauce was rich and had lots of flavor. The eggplant sizzled right in your mouth and was cooked perfectly. The cheese was rich and melted real nice. The dessert cart came and I got the chocolate mousse cake. Very good, but it is heavy and very dense. Total bill came out to be about $80 for one person, so fairly expensive place.

Patsy's is world renown and the original restaurant that's been there for many years. The food is great especially the Italian sauce dishes that's usually what we go there for. This time I tried the shrimp parmigiana which was good but not the greatest sauce that I remember. Everything was great I ordered the cappelini with it. My hubby had the Shrimp scampi which he loved and smelled delicious and we had the fried calamari for an appetizer. The calamari was good and non-greasy but it could have been a little crispier. Our waiter was the best, we didnt get his name but we quite enjoyed his professional manner and there checking to see if we needed anything else. The food was delicious and although not as wonderful as I remembered we definitely will be back for more good food.
