Although these family-friendly Bay Area pizzerias are known for their "true Chicago-style" deep-dish pies, regulars say the thin cornmeal-crust pizzas are "da bomb" too; "friendly" staffers, a "full bar" and "big flat-screens" for "watching the ballgame" are reasons why it can be "crowded" , so insiders anticipating "long waits" "call ahead" and order a half-baked to go.

Pizza is good but it's so insanely expensive. DO NOT go off their online menu. It's incorrectly priced and they will not honor it. They finally came around to making personal pizza but still haven't produced slices to buy. That's a black mark in my book. Needs better management.

Underwhelming :-( after taking the first bite, I realized I had wasted $40. I got the thin crust, which is not a valid reason for poor quality. The pizza smelled yeasty like it was undercooked. It was also thin to the point of being soggy. The artichoke dip was okay. The jalepenos were a nice twist, but it was a small portion size for the price. Also, customer service wasn’t the greatest. I would come back to try the deep dish but due to the overall experience, I don’t think I can. I wish I had come during lunch or happy hour to try it at discounted prices, but oh well.

Good service, nice people. Paxti’s really needs to get it’s act together and make a FRESH gf crust. There’s is now OK, but nothing to write home about.
