The Zagat Review
“Just get the lobster roll” say fans of this “nothing-fancy” West Village “landmark” and its “luscious” signature sandwich – though pretty much “everything’s delicious” on the classic New England seafood menu here; it doesn’t take rezzies, and the “cute” space can get “cramped” , so just “go early or expect to wait.”

The best Lobster Roll in NYC - hand's down. It's not even close. Ambiance is wonderful - it feels like you are in Maine, not the West Village. Service is fast and friendly. And the food is incredible.

this place is delicious. the lobster roll is out of this world. stuffed with lobster, and a good amount of creamy mayo. don’t let that put you off, it’s wonderfully balanced. it’s pricey, but it’s worth it to me, everyone deserves to spoil themselves. you can never wrong with a full maine lobster, theirs is cooked perfectly. the corn pudding is really tasty, very sweet.

Reputedly the best lobster rolls in NYC. Generously big chunks of lobster. Comes with a huge pile of wonderfully crispy shoe string fries. It ain't inexpensive here, but if you can afford it you aren't likely to regret dining here. I'm not a fan of fish, except for shrimp and lobster, but to the kitchen's credit, every plate I saw them serve looked tasty. Not everyone gets the lobster roll, but they serve up many of them in the course of an evening there. Even the desserts were yummy (It was my birthday!)
