"Hidden" behind a faux elevator door, this "speakeasy-style" Dr. Phillips American furnishes a "creative" lineup of "tasty bites" matched with "one-of-a-kind" cocktails; though the tab can get "expensive" , many maintain the "quirky" atmosphere is "worth returning for."

As you walk into this location you know the drinks are going to be good. The bar is located immediately at the entrance and you can see the bartender crafting his drinks. The bartender uses a variety of different techniques that you would not typically find and many other bars. I had something that was similar to an Old-Fashioned but was made using pistachio infused alcohol. This place is definitely on my list to return to. Make sure you take an Uber as you will definitely be having more than one

I'll probably never go back here. It wasn't terrible...but it really wasn't worth the money. There's much better craft cocktail bars downtown. Only went for drinks on a Saturday night, it was mildly busy. Drinks were just okay (some were decent others were alright...one WAY over filled and 2 identical drinks filled at different levels). I can't judge the food since we didn't get any. If you've never been to a craft cocktail/speakeasy style bar you'll probably enjoy, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. Just save your money and go to like literally any other bar. The door was cool though.

I live downtown so I avoided this place for a long time. I was surprisingly impressed with the variety of amazing drinks. We had a few drinks that mixed flavors that we haven't experienced before, and the bartender was happy to explain what was going on. Expect $12-15 per drink, but it's worth having a pre-dinner cocktail.
