Pinch Chinese
Place for soup dumplings & cocktails
Chinese · SoHo · $$
Soup dumplings, dan dan noodles, small plates and a handful of Sichuan and other Chinese mains (meat, seafood and vegetarian) are the pride of this SoHo spot helmed by an alum of the Taipei-founded Din Tai Fung chain. Highlights of the modern interior include a lounge offering beer, wine and cocktails with a culinary bent, and a window onto the dumpling-making area of the kitchen.

very chic little spot with some pretty solid Dan Dan Noodles! The soup dumplings leave a lot to be desired if you're used to the Chinatown mainstays nearby but these aren't bad. The decor and ambiance definitely make this a solid spot for a date, or when it's a cold day (like today...) to grab a quick bowl of noodles, or Dumplings

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. I had no idea it would be THIS good. And the staff was so personable. I learned that just yesterday New York Magazine voted them best dumplings in the city. For good reason. Wow.

Soup dumplings are really mediocre. Skin is quite thick and the stuffing is not really well flavored. Definitely not worth the price. seafood fried rice came with tasteless shrimps and scallops.. and very oily. Wouldn’t come back... very disappointed Was expecting much more from this place
