Service

Thanks to chef Peter Beck (ex Tamarind), this Curry Hill Indian rises “a cut above” its rivals with a “terrific” , “nonstandard menu” of “regional specialties” spanning the subcontinent (and it will “adjust the heat for the timid” ); “helpful” service distracts from decor that’s the “usual” for the genre.

Chicken biryani is pretty good. They do sadly tone down the spice for the customers it seems... so if you're looking for more spicy food, perhaps look at Jackson heights.

Lunch thali is delicious and great value. Tried the coconut chicken curry which is eat again. Can't go wrong. Fast service too.

Terrible service. I had made a reservation with seated. After arriving I waited at the table for at least 15 minutes and was ignored by the wait staff. It was so clear they had forgotten I was sitting there that when I got up to leave they didn’t even notice. When I told them this they simply said “these things happen...thank you”. No apology. Horrible service and don’t go alone or you might not get served!
