Gourmet thin-crust pies with a hip vibe

The Zagat Review
"Creative" thin-crust pies with "gourmet" toppings are served right from the wood-burning stove and accompanied by "out-of-this-world" sides at these hip Italian "gems" ; servers who "remember you" and a "clubby" setting where "the entire wall opens up" during warm weather are a bonus.

First time. They were out of a lot of ingredients. Everything is sourced locally, so it's to be expected. The daily special was marked out. Pizza had few toppings and the crust came in about 3 inches from edge on a 12 inch pizza. Pretty crusty. I like it, but there are better choices. Or maybe I give them another shot. Good service, the best Brussels sprouts in town. Not crazy about their pizza, but most people thinks it's great. Trendy, minimalist environment. Beautiful in the spring and summer when they open up the giant windows and deck seating.

Pizza Bella used to be the best in town. They must have changed owners because it's just not as great these days. The pizza and starters are still pretty delicious but the staff and atmosphere have declined. On a Friday night visit it was clear that no one was in charge. It used to be that you were greeted by a manager in professional attire and settled in with a beverage. Tonight the waitress/bartender in hoodie and jeans told us to sit wherever we wanted. Service and food were were slow, possibly due to understaffing. But THE WORST was that every time the cook turned to put a pizza into the oven, we were treated to a view of his half-naked buttocks. Just wow. I can't believe that we were the only ones who noticed. Sorry to this this happen, Pizza Bella.
