An “NY institution” , these “bustling” taverns “continue to satisfy” with their “juicy” burgers, “jovial” atmosphere and “big bar scenes” ; “you can feel the history” at the circa-1884 East Midtown original, while Lincoln Center is a “staple” for showgoers and Battery Park City offers “outdoor seating by the Hudson.”

I had the burger and it was delicious. Go have the Clarke burger! It’s cooked just right. You may have to add the onions cause it’s under the burger. And if you like sweet pickles, it comes on the side. The fires it comes with is thin and crunchy with sea salt. Goes perfect with the burger. I forgot to get a pic of it. But if you’re in the mood for a burger this place makes a delicious one.

Everything we experienced was very average. Our party of 4 were starving when we sat down which usually makes food taste better than it is, but didn't help. The couple next to us got their bill before their food. Our waiter was visibly frustrated when we sat down and forgot multiple things for us. Maybe an off day, but they weren't very busy. Definitely a no frills place. None at all with same price tag as other places nearby
