An “innovator that’s stood the test of time” , chef Gabrielle Hamilton’s East Village “standout” serves a “perfectly curated” menu of “exceptional” New American dishes in “unfailingly professional” style; the only drawbacks are a “toooo small” room with seating “on top of your neighbors” and long lines for the “fabulous brunch.”

I went here for my birthday two years ago and now just writing a review. I still cannot get this place out of my brain because it tasted so good. We share 4 or 5 small plates and each one was more delicious than the first. I was thoroughly impressed. We had a reservation so we didn’t have to worry about the wait which was nice. The restaurant was so busy the entire time we were there. I’ve wanted to visit again, but haven’t yet. Alas hopefully sometime soon! This place is defiantly worth a visit!

Excellent food! Very nice place. Very good food. A bit pricey but worth it .I go here for the octopus salad and a glass of wine. Main dining room is lovely. Wonderful food. Great company.

I wasn't blown out of the water, but I honestly cannot complain. The duck breast dish I had for my main course was completely balanced and cooked to perfection, with the exact right portion size, and meat to greens ratio. I felt the same about my cocktail. The menu is disappointingly limited, as the food I did order was very tasty. Since the restaurant is tiny, you do feel gusts of wind when people leave, so I would not recommend going in the colder months. They have an extensive wine menu, for those interested, but I really wanted more different vegetable sizes or appetizers.
