A “steakhouse for the modern era” , this “energetic” Midtowner “proves itself” with “really solid” beef plus more “offbeat” sides and apps served in “hipper than average” surroundings ( “no mahogany here” ); “high” prices are a given, but you do “pay for quality.”

We held our wedding reception here in the private Butcher Room and it was FANTASTIC! The food was delicious, service was incredible and all of our guests were raving over the entire experience. I was shocked with how much food they served us! It was an amazing night. We will definitely be back when we visit the city!

We didn't have reservations, so they sat us in the bar area. I wouldn't have had it any other way! We met some really nice people, and the ambiance was really enjoyable as well. The waiter was very attentive even though we were not seated in a normal dining area. the dinner was great, but the appetizers were AMAZING. My wife and I were arguing over which was better between the crab or the scallops. She won. The scallops were the best damn thing I've eaten in my life. If we hadn't already ordered a full meal, I would have just had more of the scallops! incredible experience overall. Will be coming back for sure.

I only ate here one time but it quickly became a favorite. Between the homemade steak sauce and the home baked bread, things shined even outside of the terrific steak. The steak was cooked expertly according to my requested preparation. As for the sides, I thought the potato dish was a little underwhelming, but not enough to lose a star. I just wouldn't order that next time. But above all, this was a terrific steak experience and I will absolutely be back. It is surprisingly difficult to find a superior steak in Manhattan, and Quality Meats delivered for me. This was probably better than anything not named Peter Luger.
