Randolph Beer NOLITA
Hipster gastropub with seasonal brews
Gastropub · Little Italy · $$
Aiming to "quench your every thirst" , this Little Italy bar is favored for coffee by day, "handcrafted cocktails" after dark and "welcoming" atmospherics anytime; meanwhile, its down-the-block offshoot pours "high-quality beers in abundance" from a list that's as "carefully curated" as its "chill Downtown" following.

This place has a really good selection of beer and food to pair (also their food menu has beer pairings). This place beer menu changes quite regularly, so in a month a beer you might of liked, might of been replaced. They also have a good selection of whiskey at a decent price for Manhattan. Great fun staff to be around. This place is also ideal for big groups.

Great beer selection although not super extensive, still a lot of great choices. Honestly the bar tender was very interesting and it was great conversation. Met some nice people and enjoyed the brunch menu. The breakfast croissant was pretty good!

Have to update the happy hour situation, since prior reviews are no longer relevant. The current happy hour deal is large size beers at the small size beer price. Which tends to cut $2-$3 off. The layout and decor of the place is fine. Unfortunately, it was kind of loud for a Sunday evening and the music (albeit good) was blasting, making it hard to talk to my friend. The bigger issue here is the service. The place seems poorly managed. The shortest time I waited to order any of my beers was approximately 15 minutes, and this when the counter area was never more than half occupied. The bartender disappeared for multiple long stretches of time (to smoke?) and apparently the bar back took over for parts of these breaks. The bar back tried to take my friend's beer when he still had an ounce or two left, which is an especially bad move when you're still paying nearly $9/beer during happy hour. What's worse, the bar back was more piqued than my friend. I might stop by in a year or two to check if the place is being run any better.
