“A scene to say the least” , Marcus Samuelsson's “electric” Harlem joint provides “delicious” Southern-accented American fare and “wow” cocktails with a side of “superb” people-watching; maybe it's “expensive for the neighborhood” , but nonetheless it's typically “packed” ; P.S. there's often live music downstairs at Ginny's Supper Club.

The food at Red Rooster is really great. One of the best chicken places I’ve been to in NYC for sure. It’s not the cheapest place in the world, but the portions are huge and worth it. The vibe is also pretty brilliant, everyone that goes there is out to have a good time and it’s contagious. Be warned it is very loud so I wouldn’t recommend for a romantic date out, but for any other occasion it’s a great choice and you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent dining experience. The wait staff is kind, professional and engaging. Seating allows interaction and conversation with other diners. I ordered shrimp and grits and my colleague had chicken and red velvet waffles. The food was rich with flavor and taste! I didn't see anyone on their cell phone throughout my visit.......to busy enjoying good food in a relaxing environment!!I plan on flying back to Harlem soon to share this dining jewel with my husband!

My husband and I have been following Marcus Samuelson since he was a chopped chef, and the food experience overall was splendid. We got the hot honey yard bird. The chicken was tender, well seasoned and a touch of sweet. You could really tell they put a lot of thought and love into their dish and the result reflected just that. I'd definitely go again.
