Restaurant X & Bully Boy Bar
New American fare in a country house
New American · $$$$
The Zagat Review
"Everything sparkles" at this "rustic" Congers New American owned by Peter Kelly (who also runs Xaviars, et al.), from the "creative" cooking to the "beautiful" yet "homey" setting that includes a "charming" barroom with a "roaring fire in cold weather" ; for a more economical approach to generally "expensive" tabs, try the prix fixe lunch Tuesday through Friday or let the "impeccable" staff present a "never-ending parade of decadent delights" during the "renowned" Sunday champagne brunch.

Excellent. Superb food! One of Peter Kelly's restaurants. Main courses are $30 to $38. So it isn't cheap. I loved the Beef Wellington. Also the venison and tuna is fantastic. For desert try the cheese selection or the warm chocolate cake. You must call ahead but you want them to make you a souffle. Its a great place to bring your special person for that important occasion.

We haven't been there for a few years, but it hasn't lost anything. Wonderful attentive service, and lovely ambiance. The Sunday brunch has a wide variety of food to suit any pallet. Even though there are too many courses to count, you can still eat everything without feeling bloated. Pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I love this place. The food is usually very good and sometimes great, the beverages can not be beat in Rockland County, staff is affable and professional, rooms are comfortable. Classy but not too much so. Worth the trip, but I feel very fortunate to live nearby.
