Service

An “oasis on Madison Avenue” , this “civilized” UES duplex from chef Michael White delivers “beautifully prepared” seasonal Italian fare headlined by “superb” handmade pastas; service is appropriately “white-glove” , while happy hour at the downstairs bar offers an alternative to the otherwise “special-occasion” prices.

I love this place. Their pasta is perfect every time. It is hand made and the perfect consistency. Mon- thurs their pasta is 12$. Nothing makes me happier than ordering 2 entrees and stuffing my face full of handmade pasta with a nice glass of wine. Their tomato sauce is to die for. It’s rich and flavorful and very hearty. My only complaint. The bread comes out cold. This drives me crazy. It tastes so good but it’s ice cold

Superb service is by no means at a premium at this UES Italian restaurant, which made this an easy choice for celebrating special occasions. On my second visit here, I requested the prix fixe; the lobster salad came generously with an entire lobster tail, though conversely, the agnolotti could have used a higher proportion of mushrooms. The Milanese was perfectly crispy, and we could have no complaints about the desserts either.
