“Walk through the door and you’re in Rome” agree fans of this “rustic” Italian West Villager serving “molte bene” pastas and wood-oven pizzas made with “super-fresh” ingredients; sidewalk seating and service that remains solid even when it’s “crazy busy” cement its status as a neighborhood “gem.”

After living in Italy for 4 months and eating real Italian cuisine, I use that experience as a benchmark for Italian food elsewhere. I have to say the food we had was pretty good, aside from the potatoes which tasted a bit dusty. I had the best mozzarella di búfala of my life, it was so fresh, my friend told me they make it on site. The service is good. I like the layout of the restaurant, how it is small and open. I also really like the Christmas trees they keep outside year-round as their “signature”. There were 2 REAL Italians working there that night that actually spoke Italian. One of them is named Nico, he is so sexy, it is actually quite distracting. I think he knows it too. I think he is straight so I’m out of luck.

Extremely good and authentic Italian cuisine! The fried calamari was a taste budd festival, no where near the deep fried calamari that you often get at other pseudo Italian restaurants! I personally had a NY strip steak that was fantastically cooked and the pesto dressing was very very tasty. My friend had some Vongole Pasta that was terrific as well. Great service that brings some bread and some delicious olive oil to make us wait. One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to.

Open space is very inviting. Family and event friendly as well as date. Diverse menu and knowledgeable staff too!
