Adam Tortosa (formerly of 1760 and Akiko’s) chose Hayes Valley for his hyper-seasonal sushi spot offering locally sourced fish available omakase- or a la carte-style in the main dining room and on an omakase menu at the bar. There’s also wine, beer and sake by the bottle or the glass in the stylish, intimate dinner space that’s outfitted with the work of Bay Area artists – from Jered’s Pottery tableware, to FireClay Tiles behind the bar, to custom wooden tables and rose gold resin dripping down the walls.

Omakase Heaven. Great fresh fish, creative fusion dishes, beautiful modern space. I loved how they explained every item thoroughly. Its the first time Ive been able to get great Sushi and knew exactly what I was eating.

You want to try something different and amazing this is the place to be. I'm not sure if I would call her Sushi experience a traditional authentic experience it's more like a modern authentic experience with items that are going to taste so great you will be amazed. The server also are sushi chef was with us the whole meal as if you were part of our group. He was a wonderful guy with a wonderful attitude and definitely knew what he was doing. Be prepared to whip out a lot of cash. The bill for my friend and I was over $400 besides we did drink two bottles of sake and that definitely added a lot of money to the check. I think it would have been $220 had wenot have the booze. Also they let you choose cheaper levels that I think are just a little bit less food or on the contrary if you want to spend more they have packages for that to accommodate you as well. Great place to take a date and make a special night that you won't forget!!l

Totally knocked it out the park. Most interesting, exciting, and creative omakase experience I've ever had. Fully worth the price!
