This “small, cozy” outpost in an old house in Montrose has a “playful” , ever-changing menu of “excellent” shareable New American creations ( “try the cauliflower” if you get a chance) from chef Kevin Naderi; “tables are cramped together and it can be loud” , though the “eclectic scene” can certainly be fun – just “come early or be prepared to wait” , as they only take reservations for parties of six or more.

This place should be featured on Chefs Table. Interesting setting and definitely has a unique atmosphere. Locally sourced food perfectly prepared.

They have a great happy hour special and the food is always amazing. I highly recommend the bread service.

Highly recommend! Parking can be tough, but it was pretty "normal" Houston parking. And, the food was delicious enough to overcome the parking. There's a nice, casual atmosphere in the restaurant. We took our kiddo. I'm not sure I'd say it's 100% kid friendly (too much stuff to pull off the table and menu doesn't have an easy kid option), but I didn't notice any evil glares when I breastfed he babe. We'll definitely go back!
