Service

The “good old days” endure at this 1978-vintage Murray Hill Italian touted for its “excellent” Tuscan fare and “seamless” service from “tuxedo” -attired staffers; the nightly piano player and live “opera music” on Saturdays help soothe any “sticker shock.”

By far and away the best Italian restaurant I have ever dinned in. Every entre was prepared to authentic Italian perfection with the freshest ingredients. I asked the staff what was good. He told me he would bring me what he knew I would enjoy, after a couple of laughs, nothing else was said. Needless to say, 4 courses later, the meal was outstanding and the wine he chose was excellent. Put this restaurant on the must "travel to" list in New York

We chose to dine at Rossini’s on Saturday night because that is when they have the piano and opera singers. We were not disappointed, they were great. The food is outstanding. I had the shrimp cocktail appetizer and my wife had the baked clams, both were very good. My entree was the red snapper and my wife had the veal Romano. They were excellent. Our food came out fast but we were not rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you can, go on a Saturday for the singers. It was a great evening.
