“Artisanal in all respects” , this “charming” Gowanus bakery/bistro is best known for its “heavenly” breads and “sublime” croissants, though it also offers “delicious” New American fare and cocktails; the “relaxed” space and “mindful” staff are other reasons to “just go.”

The food & pastries are wonderful. Coffee is great. Beautiful place. Service is hit or miss. We have walked out after seating because no one would come wait on us. I wish I was more confident in a good experience. I would go more often.

The food is good when it's made properly, but they have issues with consistency and it's overpriced. For example, they have a delicious fried chicken sandwich, but when I ordered it for lunch the other day, the brioche bun was burnt to a crisp. You'd think when the bun is left on the grill until it looks like half is made of charcoal, they would grab a new bun and toast it properly. For $13 it's the least they could do.

Every time I go...I love it more and more. Amazing food, great crew, fantastic ambiance. Why am I not earing here on a weekly basis?!
