Just off Times Square, these “hole-in-the-wall” izakayas “fill up fast” with folks unwinding over “down-home” Japanese bar food and “plenty of booze on the cheap” – so get there soon after work or prepare to wait; there’s “no decor” to speak of, but the crowd “lends atmosphere.”

FRIENDLY STAFF! Nice atmosphere. Sushi and tempura were excellent! Udon noodle soup was good. Daily $3 happy hour draft Sapporo beer was awesome!

Same great food as the original location (RIP), with none of the obnoxious wait times. Nice staff, good happy hour, excellent variety of delicious food. Love this place.

After being a loyal patron to the original location for over 10 years, I was heartbroken to see it close a little over a week ago. Thankfully, I can say that they're still serving that same great izakaya fare that I came to know and love. It doesn't disappoint.
