Chef-owner Bradford Heap uses "locally sourced" ingredients to "transform your normal meat, fish and veggies" into "seasonally changing" , "consistently fabulous" New American dishes at this "farm-to-table" fixture in Boulder, an "always-hopping" spot with "funky" decor; those who wish the "well-oiled" kitchen would do some more "risk-taking" can turn to the bar for "creative build-your-own cocktails" , along with some prime "people-watching" too.

Fantastically fresh food, a great ambience, and creative cocktails. Walton at the bar was amazing and hooked us up with drinks and good conversation. We split a few small plates which were all exceptional, and the desserts were A+. Reasonable pricing on top of all this makes this a super recommendation in Boulder.

Salt is in an old building which gives it a unique atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and nice. The food was good for me but my guests thought it was excellent. They have a lot of local beers. I ding it for 2 reasons: one, their menu isn't large enough for everyone, check before you come because they may not have something you like. Two, their food is good, but it's not worth the price, it would be better for $10-11.

This would have been zero stars if that was the choice. I just returned from Salt with my two deaf adult family members and one autistic family member who is very quiet and my husband. We were told at noon with many many empty tables that they could not accomodate a party of 5 outdoors due to the size of the patio so we asked to sit indoors. The hostess who was frazzled said she could seat us in the back by the loud kitchen. I said that would not work, since we had an autistic adult with us and could we please have a table up front. After another host told us no, I told them I used to work in restaurants and that they had plenty of open tables and this was absolutely ridiculous. I helped the hostess pull two tables in the front together as the host was not lifting a finger. The waiter was unfriendly and seemed like he was doing us a favor by serving us. My food arrived after almost 25 minutes and it was barely warm. Never offered a warm up or more coffee. I am writing to the owner as this was discrimination of deaf adults. Boulder is known for its inclusion --- hey, Salt train your employees!
