“Interesting” dosas are “delicious” standouts at these “bustling” branches of a global chain, where the rest of the South Indian veggie fare is “terrific” too; the settings are “uninspiring” and “service could improve” , but you do get “excellent quality” grub at “reasonable prices.”

This place advertises as a vegetarian restaurant but there's one or two vegan items, but you have to be careful because even though you give the order for vegan, cow butter (ghee) might still be included in some of the dishes.all jokes aside the food was very well prepared. The spices were well balanced. The best part of eating here is the price compared to other places I have been. Service was great.

The food is authentic and very tasty, deserves 5 stars!!! ***** But service is an issue *. Too much of a wait in spite of tables being available. My guess is that they don't get to cleaning the tables as fast as they should. The utensils also need to be replaced....although they are made of stainless steel, seems to have taken quite a beating. Staff needs some training. They don't get to your table, unless you summon them. All said and done, the South Indian food is amazing! *****

My favorite South Indian restaurant in the USA. Every time I visit NYC, I stop for dinner here. All the dosas I tried so far have been fantastic. The portion sizes are huge, especially given the low prices. Some other reviews mentioned that the servers fail to babysit clients, contrary to what is common in US restaurants. But I just take this to be part of the no-frills atmosphere, which I enjoy.
